Houston, Texas - November 4, 2013 - ACAD-Plus has been contracted to implement BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise at Brown University. Brown University’s Facilities organization requires a solution to securely store electronic drawings and documents created and received by the university. All files must include searchable indexing and descriptions to facilitate quickly locating files for viewing, printing, and editing. Brown wishes to initially focus on storing drawings and documents pertaining to projects and sustaining activities on buildings and the site infrastructure. These drawings and documents are the highest priority because they provide significant benefits during the ongoing projects and maintenance in the facilities. The initial implementation will also include migrating files from existing archives and spreadsheets into the Meridian solution.
Following the initial implementation future enhancements are expected to continue including introducing more complex workflow components, adding email notifications within certain processes, implementing a utility to facilitate exporting/transmitting documents to outside entities, expanded reporting capabilities, and automatically publishing documents to reach a broader audience within the university.
